i recently lost my job here in nevada, my company decided to outsource my department so now im left with no job. This happen 1 month and half ago, i manage to pay last months rent and bills. Been lookg for a job but no luck. Now i tried going to the welfare places and received food stamps, and made an appointment to get rent assistance. since i have an out state id the advice me to go get to DMV and get a local id and as longest i have a copy of the receipt they will be able to assist me. So went to DMV and could not get an ID without losing my drivers license. for me to keep my drivers licence i had to take drivers test again. so ok no problem took the writen test, pass it and gave me my driving test for july 27 and gave a paper confirming my appointment. so few days later went to my rent assistance appointment took all paper work they required from me. gave them my DMV paper ,""AND DID NOT ACCEPTED" because it did not stated i was recieving my ID in the mail. explain to clerk if i would of gotten my ID i would of lost my driving privileges. But they didnt care. So now im stuck from ether loosing my drivers license if i just get my ID or pay my rent. I need both! cant look for a job with out a car, and i have to pay my rent this july 1st . Out here in nevada is over 110 degrees to be walking and taking the bus to look for jobs. I got kicked to curve . Any suggestions anyone . need to pay my bills. goverment wont help me unless i give up my driving privileges
